Saturday March 27th the 2nd Annual Richmond Hickory Cup was contested with Andy Moye from the NC Hickory Chapter winning Gross Championship honors and Paul Lynk repeating as Net Champion. In addition to the COVID related adjustments, Lakeside Public Club made a last minute change in tee times that caused a change of venue. Host David Farrar found space at Royal New Kent and moved the competition there. On a humorous note, Farrar noted that the trophy company had sent him a trophy for the “Raymond Cup” with high “Rose” and high “Ned” divisions, not Gross and Net. Despite all challenges, hickory golfers persist and play on! Thanks to all the participants for coming and to David for hosting. Next year will be the 3rd Annual Richmond Hickory Cup. Cheers! JC
